Cumberland Emerging Technologies, or CET, is a joint initiative between Cumberland Pharmaceuticals, Vanderbilt University, LaunchTN, and Winhealth Pharma Group. Its mission is to bring biomedical technologies and products conceived at Vanderbilt and other regional research centers to the marketplace.

CET not only serves as our lab space where we develop innovative, vital medicines, but it also offers Nashville’s scientific entrepreneurs a corporate partner to assist in developing new biomedical technologies, as well as life sciences companies seeking facilities in which to locate their headquarters, grow their businesses and develop their technologies.

We recently announced a new addition to the CET team with Dr. Jim Stefansic!

Dr. Stefansic is well-versed in the biopharma space, having previously co-founded two healthcare companies - Pathfinder Therapeutics and Raiven Healthcare. He was also a Research Professor at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and is currently and Adjunct Professor of Business at Belmont University. At CET, Dr. Stefansic will manage the sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating of new biopharmaceutical products as well as technology opportunities. He will also manage and support the expansion of CET’s university collaborations.
